My paintings often explore interplay between abstract and drawn images. My paintings tend to be suggestive of figures from Indian mythology and its narratives, these figures are not literal representations but are rather semi-abstract and gestural, allowing viewers to engage with the artwork on multiple levels.
My creative process is an intuitive and impulsive approach. It evolves organically through a series of layers involving colours and mark-making. Canvas becomes a space of negotiation between drawn images and the deliberate subtraction of elements, resulting in a final composition that embodies these gestural and instinctive processes. Paintings are characterized by dynamic Process Narratives that unfold visually on the canvas.
In "Yes Says The Mask," a double-sided mask, I explore into a human kingdom's realm where souls seek solace amidst bustling crowds. Despite throngs of people, inner solitude permeates, palpable in their quest for connection. Through this artwork, I delve into the poignant narrative of individuals navigating the complexities of human bonds, exploring the dichotomy between outward engagement and inner contemplation within the bustling tapestry of existence.
Through subtle details and nuanced brushstrokes, I aim to evoke the sense of isolation experienced by these individuals, even amidst the company of others.
In Yes says the mask, the double sided mask I seek to create a visual narrative that resonates with viewers on an emotional level, encouraging introspection and empathy towards the quiet struggles of those around us.
