THE PALETTE PROJECT Art Prize, By Gallery Alchemy

Gallery Alchemy is thrilled to announce the second year of The Palette Project, an exciting Art Prize exclusively for Australian artists.

This celebration of colour invites artists to submit wall-hanging only works of 60 x 60cm size, of any medium or subject matter.  Think outside the square of 60 x 60cm and play with rectangles, circles etc as long as it fits within the 60 x 60cm frame size area.

KEY DETAILS:
Submissions are open to Australian artists only.
Entry fee:  $45 (non-refundable) with a limit of 1 ARTWORK submission per artist.
Entries close:  4pm Sunday, April 14th, 2025.

EXHIBITION DATES:
Wednesday April 30th - Tuesday June 3rd 2025

OPENING NIGHT - Saturday May 3rd 2025, 6-8pm

ARTWORK SUBMSSION REQUIREMENTS:

The maximum size of the artwork must not exceed the area of 60x60cm, any size within these dimensions will be accepted (excluding framing).  Only wall mountable works will be accepted, including ceramics, or sculptural pieces.   

Please send a high-resolution image of your artwork submission (max. 1 MB on file size) to sarah@galleryalchemy.com.

Include a detailed description of each of the elements under consideration for selection criteria as listed below.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
Artworks will selected by Gallery Alchemy Director, Sarah Thomas, based on the technique of colour, skill of painting, marketability and the individuality of concept.  

FINALISTS NOTIFICATION:
Finalists will be notified directly by Sarah Thomas by 4pm on Sunday 14th April 2025. Requests for submission of physical artworks will be made once finalists are selected and notified.
