Tito La Vole

I was born in 1996 in Guadeloupe, a small French island in the Caribbean archipelago. The island is like a hub of mixed culture, which made up for a fairly interesting childhood.

My parents both being surfers, I naturally took it up at a pretty young age, which then led me to dive-in into everything that revolved around creative expression.

In 2017 I completed a bachelor in arts at the French academy of fine arts in Bordeaux (EBABX).

Later on, I came to Australia for a few months, which turned into 8 years and a new citizenship.

I work manly as a tattooist, but I have also done some graphic design for multiple surf brands (MISFIT, AFENDS, TCSS).

Lately I have been feeling like getting on the tools and driving to Bunnings every second day I guess the Australian culture has finely got to me. This collection of work is a direct product of that. Taking inspiration from the reoccurring shapes in nature/culture and the signals they sparked in our minds.

I like to think that my work sits in between the concrete and the abstract. The real and the surreal. Painting and sculpture.
