Ainsley Pioli

Ainsley Pioli is a contemporary abstract artist based in Milton. Her journey with painting began around seven years ago, sparked by a desire for creative expression during the early days of motherhood. Amid the intensity and unpredictability of that time, she found solace and inspiration in a simple ritual: turning up music that moved her and allowing that energy to translate onto canvas. This practice soon evolved into a more serious pursuit, eventually leading to commissioned work as interest in her art grew.

Ainsley works primarily with oil paints, acrylics, pastels, and textured materials. Her approach is deeply intuitive, and the act of creating is a source of genuine joy.

This current body of work draws inspiration from the music of the band Chartreuse. It embodies a serene, ethereal quality, with fluid, melodic movement that feels both emotive and introspective. Raw, expressive textures are softened by the use of oil pastels, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. The result is a series that is calm, tactile, and deeply personal.
