Simon Quadrat

Born in London in 1946, the son of refugees fleeing Nazi Germany he spent much of his earlier life as a criminal barrister inLondon.  He has always painted and in 2000 he gave up the Bar in order to concentrate on painting full time.His work soon proved to be very popular and in demand by collectors. He has had a number of successful one-man exhibitions, both in London and also across the South of England in both public and commercial galleries. In the early 2000’s he was elected an Academician at the Royal West of England Academy, a sister Academy to the Royal Academy and was soon invited to become the Academicians’ Chairman and then President of the Academy. In 2015 he was elected to the New English Art Club, an art group with an illustrious history founded in the 19th century His work continues to be widely collected, more recently with interest coming from collectors in all parts of the world. Simon is married; he lives and works in the village of Aldbourne, in the heart of the Wiltshire Downland. Apart from painting Simon is a classical pianist.
